Description: Tan Brown granite has black-brown cordieritefels with big, shapeless, brown-red feldspar crystals. This stone internationally may be nominated as a granite but in the area of application of the European Standard we are awaiting clarification. Ideal for both interior and exterior use, Tan Brown granite is frost free and polish constant. There are two original quarries of Tan Brown granite however there are several look-a-like quarries therefore for large projects and matching ensure all the raw material comes from the same quarry. Mineral Composition: Granite: Granite is a common and widely occurring type of intrusive, felsic, igneous rock. Granites are usually medium to coarse grained, occasionally with some individual crystals larger than the groundmass forming a rock known as porphyry. Granites can be pink to dark grey or even black, depending on their chemistry and mineralogy.Tan Brown granite worktops are made up of a black background with grey and reddish brown crystals. The grey crystals can have a clear quality to them giving the worktops a 3-D like appearance. The reddish brown "flowers" in the granite are of an elliptical shape creating a strong pattern in the rich background.They compliment all wood tones and give a traditional feel and look.
